  • Densanity

    Cool vs Warm temperature settings

  • Dovahkiin

am i the only one who noticed the old water texture looked more realistic?

  • Imad Abselem

looks like easy money for Bethesda

  • CSGOAscension

why does the original look better to me?

  • mitrooper

Remaster is just the old game with yellow vaseline splattered over it... ;P

  • Indzo

WOOW, its like the same game, only a bit brighter and colored.

  • Xanthous Fish Jeretuna

Bethesda : "Hey skyrim fans! We turned that saturation up so pay money for a new version!"Fans : "Yes please Bethesda"

  • Final Fantasy

is it me or original is better because its more darkish ? I like the dark aspect about a dark time, I dont care about colors.

  • Main's Main

60€ for same game with shaders wooohooo

  • AlexRazel

water and other some pics is worst than original

  • EmeraldView

So..... the Remaster just takes the beautiful Skyrim visuals and makes them look shitty.Got it.

  • SonicRising

Most of the originals looked better to me, the remastered ones just looks brighter with the contrast turned up. I don't know graphics but I know what I like.

  • Buried With You

all they did was change the hue and added foliage.

  • Dashie

Hmm, the textures look better on the original... I also don't like how colorful everything is, hopefully you can turn that down. Skyrim isn't really meant to be a rainbow of colors imo.

  • Gleb Alekseevich Zyryanov

    Original is better than remaster

  • Nathan Simon

I think they really did make skyrim kind of "warmer", and how it doesn't look so damn cold.

  • George

Is Oblivion Remastered really too much to ask? Seriously... Skyrim is already a beautiful game. It was praised for its good graphics for Pete's sake. "ew its 2011 here have a 2016 graphics skyrim" It's just. Shrubbery and warmer colors. I can't even. They wouldn't make as much money for an Oblivion remake though. Oblivion's still my favorite Elder Scrolls game even though Skyrim is good

  • augustuslxiii

The comparisons aren't very accurate because the screenshots are taken in different lighting. Which isn't to say the new version doesn't have better graphics; it does. A little bit.I'd be more interested to see screens at the same time of day. Because the lighting is better in the remaster, too.

  • Shar

People forget they made it 64bit. This will bring us much better mods.

  • rfgerdtg43dreffwae4rf23w

In my humble opinion DX-11 and 64-bit support are a BIG deal for a re-release.

  • Adam

Skyrim remastered is just a bad enb

  • Felicia Lindblom

This makes me so sad and angry lol. Is the bloom effect getting popular again or what? To me, the original version is much more comfortable to look at than the remaster version. Too much blur and objects looks unsharp. And second, I can make my game look much better than this remake thanks to mods, and I have been able to do that in ages. It's also more personal than a HD remake where Bethesda pretty much decides how the graphics will look..

  • PBA porkpies

Whos ready for fallout 4 goty remastered edition?

  • friggen6

The changes are to little in my opinion

  • Zelda Henson

    Why is everything so... orange??

  • Anakin Skywalker

MorrowWind Remastered too much to ask for?

  • Berke Tuğral

The most important thing is: Skyrim remastered is going to be 64 bits so you can increase your ram and overload Skyrim with mods! :)

  • rumle

The improvements are dubious and with modding the original skyrim is waaay prettier

  • shash wolf

    don't fix what isn't broke

  • KwHallo

I honestly prefer its cool and all, like they did a good job but it just looks all to modern, i prefer more of a "ancient" look.

  • Daniel Williams

I think the remastered looks better and it's good because now people who prefer console don't have to have a beastly pc to play Skyrim to the point where it can look next gen with all the enb and mods

  • Carolus Användare

the witcher 2 from 2011 or 2012 still looking better than "remastered" skyrim

  • gandharzero

Not that impressive.More (low detail) vegetation and brighter/warmer colors.Completly destroys the original cold/dark/grim feeling.

  • CastielUchiha

    Skyrim now with more fog

  • 【ɐpɐɹıP ɐuɐʇıdɐC】

Basically they have added shaders and put some new plants xD I just hope the same mods from nexus work with the new version, it's free after all :D

  • Ree Play

Even the original in this video looked better than my ps4 remastered skyrim

  • Saints Row

remaster for consoles. on pc it looks 20 times better with couple of mods.

  • Corbin Bishop

    They look practically the same.

  • SnowyParker

I can't wait for this to come out so I can chill and play on ps4, But legitimately, my graphics mods on pc make skyrim look better then that wow..

  • Marshall Mathers the 4th

Uh remastered wins by a landslide in my opinion.

  • Mr Cat

Cant wait to Play that on the nx I mean Switch the remastered to Go you can call it Skyrim GO

  • Aleksandr Novikov

Blur, i am need more blur! Original best

  • Joe

So it's skyrim with an ENB and a floral mod.I want to kill myself

  • Waqar Zahid

The original Skyrim with mods look far better than this so called 'special' edition...

  • UnknownHumanoid

All I see is more fog and a color filter. Quite stupid, I'm not impressed at all.The textures look better in the original!!!! :))) 3:07

  • MinionOfDeth2112

Doesn't look impressive, ENB's do this already. No new quests, items, locations or enemies? Boring... how much time did it take to make this? Would've been better to HD remaster Oblivion really. Oh wait, modders are already doing that and Morrowind too. Hopefully the jump to 64 bit will aloow the modding community to come up with some fantastic mods again otherwise I won't be returning to Tamriel anytime soon. :/Oh and Skyrim runs fine for me on my PC so I couldn't give a fuck about stability and performance upgrades thanks to DX11. :P

  • Kapitan Żbik

Honestly i'm very disappointed. Simple workshop mods looks much better than "special edition"...

  • Irfanullah Jan

i prefer the ambiance of the original...but no harm in trying out...

  • Deno Moto

Added a fog effect, improved the lighting (made it warmer). Added a blur and bloom effect to everything. Added a few objects. No Thanks.

  • stewman536

Different lighting? More motion blur? That's it?

  • Nation of Masturbation

The only differences are the lighting and shading lol.

  • Reinvented Nova

just get enb and it looks better then both

  • Supernovae

PROS :- Better shadows- More grassCONS :- Lighting / Color saturation (too much yellow and bright), make me still prefer Original modded.

  • MegaFishFucker

3:25 are you sure about this?

  • Lee

Original looks better. Though the water behaves better in the so-called Enhanced Edition (or special Edition), the look of it is worse. The thing that bothers me the most though is the fact there is a white-wash fog in the background, almost everywhere, especially in Whiterun and other towns and out in the open. It's especially noticeable at night time. It looks fucking horrid. The only good thing is God rays. The bloom is awful and has a horizontal line emitted from it, which looks frankly hilarious from the standing stones and makes absolutely no sense - whoever made it is an utter fool. The game engine seems to handle NPCs worse from before. Now when I exit buildings, I can see a person fall from about 10ft to the ground (it's quick, but noticeable and doesn't always happen, but nonetheless, still annoying). Irelith even ends up under the Dragonsreach bridge when exiting the Jarl's place after informing us of the dragon.Faces, they are blurry, but this is most likely due to the other AA methods they have stupidly chosen. It is not an improvement, at all. The open areas with their brighter colour palate look out of place against the drab water in the distance. Rocks are not rendered in the distance like trees, so they look shit.Bugs. Bugs galore... most of the ones lazily left behind by Bethesda over 5 years ago have all been left there, leaving it to the PC community mop up. This includes annoyances like the birds getting stuck in trees across Whiterun, which is so blindingly obvious that laziness alone can only be the reason for why Bethesda left it there. Birds nests floating outside of trees. Dragons and NPCs still clipping objects. Floating trees and rocks in places just to name a few.I've always tried to get into Skyrim... in fact I've spent nearly 300 hours over the last 6 years doing so... but I struggle. It's not creative. The quests are awful. Most are fetch quests with zero imaginable. The decision to remove the class system takes a sense of actual role playing AWAY. No craftable spells. No proper silver weapons. No depth to marriage or cooking. No dual ring wearing. No capes, even though the place is like an ice land, which goes beyond logic not for the nords but all the other races. Not enough enemy variety and so on so forth. All of this is just a smidge of how bad this game truly is in comparison to the creative efforts that came before it in it's previous endeavours, i.e. Morrowind and Oblivion. The update was free for PC users you say? Yes, but I didn't ask for it and sure, while it changed Skyrim to a 64bit process and added a few things, which is nice, it was repacked and sold on the consoles at a crazy price. I'm into PC, but that doesn't excuse the milking that Bethesda has undertaken to those who support them. But Skyrim is popular and one of the best sellers, I hear you say. So? It stripped a lot out of it and all it replaced was a unvaried, barren wasteland, a serious lack of RPG elements in favour of a do-all-be-all approach, which gave races little purpose. Character customisation but no view of your character in the menus and THE worst UI in the history of any game ever. The game RELIES on mods and the community to make it work and be enjoyable, but that doesn't make it a fun game when vanilla and as such it doesn't deserve the credit that everyone gives it because of bias (from mods). As a person who wants quality in a game from the DEVELOPER, I expect the effort to be put in. I also don't appreciate the DLC which was also a another huge step back from the likes of Oblivion's. Why must I mod a mediocre game to enjoy it? It shouldn't be other peoples' job to do.I applaud modders for putting the time and effort into make it a much more enjoyable experience. I get that many like the vanilla version. Perhaps you are more easily entertained and less OCD than me? But seeing so much missing from Skyrim and so much stuff stripped away, an to call it progress in the series, is quite frankly ridiculous.I played over 1000 hours in Oblivion and a few hundred in Morrowind. It doesn't make my opinion any greater than anyone elses, but to me this game was a serious step back and just feels empty in comparison to the others. True shame. Oh and this enhanced edition is hilarious - looks awful in the majority of places.Oh, at least they fixed alt-tabbing and FOV commands in the console (`).

  • Kai Dowell

"remaster" but you should do "Remaster vs Ultra-modded Skyrim" when the game is released!

  • degot88

The atmosphere of despair has disappeared...

  • mnb323

Okay so everyone knows that this is essentially pointless on pc and that's why it's free, but apparently I've just learned that this will actually end being the version you wanna play, even on pc due to the increased modding capability. The whole engine is being moved to support 64bit windows and can utilize more than 4gb of ram. If I'm not mistaken that means less crashing and more playing. Luckily for me there will be no transfer process since I completely gutted my pc of mods months ago but I'm ready to jump back in on a clean slate.

  • rickfc82

Ohh Shit i prefer the Original with more shadows and low brighlight only thing i like is the water

  • Benjin

That distance haze is way too strong.

  • joshua correa

is it just me or does the original look nicer than the "remaster" lol

  • sirrah777

Original version looks much better O_o'

  • Michael Karas Nguyen

So basically they just added ENB. LOOOOL

  • Mr Jordan L

I'm a PC gamer, but all these people complaining that mods can make the game look like this, you are hardly seeing the point. The engine for the remaster has been extended to 64bit, Like Fallout 4. And therefor there will be less crashing, and room for even more MODS as skyrim had a memory limit. Do you want to go back to your times of 32bit limited memory, or do you want a 64bit masterpiece which will allow you to install mods you couldn't use with other space-taking m ods? End of discussion.

  • Dmitriy950

ремастер с мыльцом каким то на некоторых сравнениях оригинал лучше

  • straden79

is it just me or original looks much sharper...only thing i noticed that is better on remastered is the natural lightning effect like sunset.

  • size

Enchanted light and FX + Flora overhaul = specjal editoin O.o

  • Levi

In my honest opinion, I think the original version fit the whole "lord of the rings" vibe...And the remastered version is WAY to bright to fit that vibe... I liked the dark, and mysterious feel the original had.
